MAY YOU BE A CONQUEROR OF OBSTACLES

Introduction

The process of transforming our consciousness from the limited, which causes confusion and makes us act selfishly to the unlimited, which emerges our love and unity, takes time, according to each one’s effort and circumstances. We know that obstacles have to come while that process goes on, but what is important is that we should recognise the value of obstacles as teachers and not allow ourselves to be defeated by them. To be a conqueror of obstacles means, firstly, to turn them from stumbling blocks into stepping stones; and secondly, to rise so much above them, with the wings of wisdom and virtue given by God, that we can finish them completely from a distance. Brahma Baba was the first to show this greatness and achievement, and Avyakt BapDada has continued to sustain each one of us on our own pilgrimage towards perfection with deep insights into why obstacles arise and how we can become free of them. This book brings many of those insights together. It will be an invaluable companion on the journey, enabling us to find peace even while in the midst of obstacles, and thereby to continue to find the strength to change.

The reasons why obstacles come and their solutions.

  1. The greatest obstacle in the yagya is the children’s consciousness of “I” and “my mind”, “I did this; I alone can do this”. To have the consciousness of “I” is called arrogance of knowledge, arrogance of intellect, arrogance of service. Secondly, the consciousness of “mine”; that is, “my body, my relations”, causes great obstacles.

  2. Sometimes, your past sanskars and nature emerge in your new birth. Your own weak sanskars conflict with the sanskars of others. This weakness creates great obstacles in reaching your aim. Instead of enabling you to pass fully, it lets you pass with only a pass mark.

  3. The reason for any type of obstacle or tension in service is a lack of balance between the self and service. Because of lack of attention on the self, one or another type of obstacle or tension in service is created. If you cross the line of the code of conduct to do service, and do not pay full attention to your dharna, this creates many obstacles.

  4. The increasing habit of exchanging useless news is a huge obstacle to your tapasya. Each of you should consider yourself to have the responsibility of finishing this hobby within the self; only then will you be called a conqueror of obstacles.

  5. When you have the slightest sensitive feeling in any situation such as, “Why is this like this? What is this?”, then that becomes an obstacle. Always think: “I am a soul who is beyond wasteful feelings, a ‘feeling-proof ’ soul”. Then you will become a conqueror of Maya and a conqueror of obstacles.

  6. Sanskars of forgetfulness and weakness have, over sixty-three births, become one’s natural nature, and create a huge obstacle to one’s effort in Brahmin life. Therefore, become an embodiment of remembrance.

  7. Subtle sin in a minor form becomes an obstacle to creating your perfect form. Therefore, check yourself in a subtle way and become free from that sin. Do not think: “Everyone is doing this anyway; it happens all the time nowadays; I only said it as a joke; I did not really mean anything, but just said it”. This too is a subtle obstacle to attaining your perfect stage. Check this and change yourself.

  8. When you check whether there is any obstacle, you will find that the root of this is having non-loving feelings instead of loving feelings. Feelings first emerge in your thoughts, then in your words and then in your actions. Whatever your feeling is, you will see the other soul according to that, and also listen to and interact with him accordingly. With the feelings, the motives also change. If you have a feeling of jealousy for any soul; that is, if you do not have a feeling of belonging to that soul, then you will experience a feeling of misunderstanding of every act and word of that soul, and that will become an excuse for obstacles. Therefore, with your elevated feelings, become a conqueror of obstacles.

  9. Three things cause obstacles in service:

    i)  to give excuses; 

    ii) to influence someone into saying something on your behalf;

    iii)  to lose interest in doing service.

  10. When there is a difference between what you do and what you say, this creates obstacles. If you tell others that the vices are a bad thing, and yet you yourself do not continue to move along whilst detached from the household, this creates obstacles. Therefore, do whatever you tell others to do.

  11. Wasteful and sinful thoughts are an obstacle to creating your Avyakt stage. Because of these, you become attracted to the body again and again. The main reason for this is a lack of cleanliness in the intellect. An unclean intellect means that, because the intellect is not absorbed in the great mantra it has received, many obstacles are created.

  12. Those who came here through experiencing the Avyakt stage have been moving along free from obstacles from the very beginning. However, if the foundation of the Avyakt stage is not strong; if you are moving with another support, then many obstacles and difficulties come in front of you through which you find it difficult to make effort.

  13. Waste thoughts especially become an obstacle and create obstructions in your efforts to become perfect. In order to save yourself from this, do not take internal or external rest. If you are not in the state of rest, then nothing will go to waste. And secondly, always consider yourself to be a guest.

  14. Storms of waste thoughts create obstacles to becoming complete. This is the complaint from the majority. In order to finish the complaint of waste thoughts in your mind, make an appointment in your diary at Amrit vela every morning. Because you do not do this, and do not keep the mind busy, the waste thoughts become an obstacle. For this, learn the method of booking your time.

  15. Whilst living at home, if you do not have the awareness of your form of power, then karmic bondages create obstacles. Then the sound emerges: “What can I do if I still have karmic bondages? How can I cut these bondages?” However, the awareness of your form of power finishes all obstacles. So, instead of crying out and being afraid of the obstacles, become an embodiment of power and face the obstacles, and then they will finish.

  16. If you keep your old sanskars with yourself in order to satisfy your own desires, then those sanskars become an obstacle. Some children think that they will become perfect by the end, and that something or other will still remain until then. However, if even the slightest sanskars remain with you like pocket money, then those few sanskars will deceive you. Therefore, do not keep old property secretly hidden away.

  17. In the practical daily timetable, one word in particular becomes an obstacle, namely “bossiness”. Because of being bossy, there is no spiritual pride or intoxication. One becomes bossy when one fails to consider the self to be a server.

  18. Whilst living in their household, many children think that if they did not have the sanskar of bossiness to a little extent, they would not be able to manage their household. They think: “How will I be able to earn an income if I do not have the sanskar of greed” Or: “What would my personality be in front of others if I did not have any vanity or pride?” Some children keep the treasure of old sanskars with them in this form, and these same sanskars later becomes obstacles.

  19. At present, the household is for settling karmic accounts. If you pay greater attention to settling your accounts of the household than to your alokik household, then this too is a royal form of attachment. Then, instead of you becoming victorious, this trace will increase, and will become an obstacle and defeat you.

  20. There is a wave of obstacles when there is less force towards spirituality. Obstacles come because you do not fill yourself with all powers through the power of churning and do not remain stable in the stage of being absorbed in love.

  21. The obstacle of laziness does not allow you to move forward in your efforts. Sometimes you say: “OK, I will think about it, I will do this, I will do it later”. This is a sign of laziness. Therefore, always think: “Whatever I have to do, I have to do it now.” Even if there are no obstacles, and yet your love is not that deep, or you do not have enthusiasm or courage, then this too would be called laziness. This laziness first makes you into an ordinary effort-maker, then makes you distant. And then, having made you distant, it deceives you and makes you weak and powerless. You will not then able to face the obstacles that may come in the future.

  22. Until you have become complete with light and might, you will experience obstacles. If you simply have the light of knowledge but do not have the might, you will not be able to face the obstacles that come.

  23. If the lines on your hands have many breaks, this is not considered to be elevated fortune, nor are you expected to have a long life. In the same way, if because of obstacles the line of the intellect is cut again and again, or if it is not clear, you cannot receive an elevated reward.

  24. Because of not having an attitude of brotherhood to every soul, your nature becomes an obstacle.

  25. If there is still any outstanding debt to Maya, that debt will take on a form of illness, and Maya will distress you again and again. Therefore, check your account to see whether any thoughts, sanskars or nature of the past are still remaining in the form of a debt. Just as a physical illness or debt does not allow the intellect to become stable, and pulls you towards itself again and again, even against your conscious wish, in the same way, the debt of any illness of the mind does not allow the intellect to become stable. It takes on the form of an obstacle.

  26. When you take advantage of facilities for comfort, this creates an obstacle to your imperishable attainment. If you accept any type of attainment or success at present, it will be reduced by that much there (in the golden age). Therefore, renounce all facilities even when you receive them. To renounce any attainment after having attained it is real renunciation.

  27. Those who come into the spinning of Maya again and again have a burden of obstacles on their head. Such a soul would constantly be in debt and would have some kind of illness. There would constantly be questions on the face and forehead of such a soul. In every situation, there would be the questions: “Why? What? How?”. The intellect would be pulled again and again towards the relationships in which you have not yet experienced any happiness, and that attachment would become an obstacle to the love of the intellect. In order to finish this obstacle, experience the different relationships with Baba throughout the day.

  28. “Destruction has to happen, but I don’t know what is going to happen. Perhaps it will take place, but it seems as if nothing is going to happen for the next two to four months. I don’t know whether the confluence age is forty years or fifty years”. Such thoughts are a royal form of doubt which create obstacles in the task of establishment. Whilst you have this doubt, you cannot become completely victorious.

  29. No matter whether someone is a hard worker or has a planning intellect, you have to co-operate with him, otherwise there will be obstacles in service. Therefore, have the aim of enabling even the young ones to move forward. Otherwise, one person would be doing service with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm, but the vibrations of another person would create obstacles to the attainment of success. Therefore, definitely give one or another duty to everyone. Through this, everyone will become enthusiastic, and will help to create a powerful atmosphere.

  30. Constantly have the aim of self-transformation. Do not think that you will change when others change. “Whether others change or not, I have to change. I have to become Arjuna”. The reason that obstacles come whilst moving along, or someone becomes body-conscious, is that there are still gross feelings in the atmosphere. If the atmosphere becomes Avyakt, then even if someone comes with something gross, that will be changed.

  31. At present, if effort-makers have the thought that they will become victorious by the end, or that they will become free from obstacles or a conqueror of obstacles at the end, this is also a royal form of carelessness. That is, it is a royal form of Maya which creates obstacles to becoming perfect.

The method to become a conqueror of obstacles.

  1.  In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, become knowledge-full. Someone who is knowledge-full knows why an obstacle has come; it has come not to make you fall, but to make you stronger. Such a soul would never become confused. When a test paper comes, you should not have any questions as to why someone is doing something, or think that he should not be doing that. Whatever happened was good; just pick up good aspects from it. If the final moment of the exams comes whilst asking “Why?” or “What?” then you will fail.

  2. In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, become complete with all powers. All the powers are your birthright. Always have the intoxication that you are master almighty authority, and use all the powers according to time.

  3. Constantly experience the Father’s hand of blessings over your head. Those who have God’s hand over them are guaranteed to be constantly victorious. They have the imperishable tilak of victory applied to their forehead. To have the tilak of victory means to be a conqueror of obstacles.

  4. Let feelings of mercy emerge within yourself; spread this wave for yourself and for others. When you have feelings of mercy, the obstacles will easily finish. Where there is mercy, there will not be any fluctuation of “mine” or “yours”.

  5. Imbibe the powers to tolerate and accommodate, and then the obstacles that arise due to sanskars and nature will not exist in your thoughts or actions, nor will there be any conflict with the nature and sanskars of others.

  6. In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, be a constant yogi and a constant server. Without the Father’s remembrance, there is no life. In the same way, there is no life without service. When you have the double lock of Baba’s remembrance and service, the obstacles can no longer exist.

  7. In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, intensify the fire of love. If the fire is lacking in intensity, the obstacles will carry on with their own work. However, if the fire of love is intense, all the rubbish of the obstacles will be burnt in that. Obstacles cannot come where there is love. Through karma yoga, karma bhog (suffering of actions) is transformed.

  8. In order to become victorious in one second over all obstacles, adverse situations and the calamities of the tamopradhan elements, simply have one point of intoxication and faith: “Wah, I, Who am I? I am an elevated Brahmin soul, I am a bestower”. This feeling will enable you to be constantly victorious and experience the stage of being free from even the knowledge of desires.

  9. In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, constantly focus your vision on your one aim. To have one aim means constantly to see the point. Whilst looking at everything else that is going on, do not see it. In the memorial, Arjuna’s vision is portrayed as being not on the fish, but on the pupil of the eye. The fish is the expansion and the point is the essence. Do not look at the expansion, but look at the essence of the point.

  10. The method to become free from any type of obstacle is to have a double-light stage. This stage enables you to take a high jump in one second. However, if instead of taking a high jump, you start breaking the stones or try to move them, then whatever courage and enthusiasm you have, according to your capacity, this will also finish, and you will become tired and disheartened. By constantly keeping the Father and your attainment in front of you, all obstacles will finish.

  11. In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, create a powerful atmosphere of spirituality. Practise stabilising yourself in the seed stage, similar to that of the Sun of Knowledge, and in the angelic stage.

  12. Whenever there is any particular obstacle, at that time you have international yoga everywhere. In the same way, have a programme for yoga to take place everywhere at the same time. If the whole region gives the donation of yoga at the same time, the fortress will become strong.

  13. In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, keep your combined form in your awareness. We are not alone; wherever the children are, the Father is there. Constantly stay under the canopy of protection of the Father’s remembrance, and no obstacle of Maya will be able to come to you. So, wherever you are staying or whatever work you are doing, always experience yourself to be in a place of safety.

  14. At Amrit vela, when the influence of impurity is suppressed everywhere, the atmosphere is such that it can change anyone’s attitude. At such a time, especially experience the rays of light and might from the Sun of Knowledge to be upon you. Imbibe the nectar of the powers in the urn of your intellect, and all obstacles will finish.

  15. An obstacle is a lesson for you, and by becoming experienced in this you will pass with honour. When anything happens, just learn a lesson from it and do not ask “Why?” or “What?”.

  16. To be a conqueror of obstacles means to stay constantly in the stage of being a master almighty authority, the same as the Father. If you remain stable in this stage, the obstacles will not attack you. If you do not constantly maintain the stage of a master almighty authority, then sometimes you will be under the influence of the obstacles, and sometimes you will be a conqueror of obstacles. For the time that you are under the influence of the obstacles, you experience a hundred thousand-fold loss.

  17. In order to become a conqueror of obstacles, continue to increase your experience. Be an embodiment of the experience of every virtue. Whatever you speak of, you should also have the experience of that. Even if someone tries to make an experienced person fluctuate, they cannot be shaken. No effort of Maya will be successful in front of someone who is experienced. Someone who is experienced is never deceived. Strengthen the foundation of your experience.

  18. Do not ever compete with one another, but have a race instead. No matter how much Maya tries to make you fluctuate, you must not fluctuate at all, but must remain as unshakeable as Angad. There shouldn’t be the slightest sanskars of weakness within yourself. Die alive to your old sanskars, and the obstacles will not be able to stay.

  19. If you have love for study from deep within your heart, you yourself will remain busy, and you will also keep others busy. Those who are constantly busy are themselves the conquerors of obstacles and are able to make others conquerors of obstacles. For this, make your intellect a planning intellect.

  20. The word “Baba” is a magic word. Just as magicians keep a magic ring or some other magic object with themselves, in the same way, keep the word “Baba” with you at all times. Then you will never come under the influence of any obstacle. Even if anything happens, remember the word “Baba” and remind others also, and you will become free from obstacles. Constantly keep the mantra of “Baba, Baba” in your awareness and you will experience yourself to be constantly walking under the canopy of protection.

  21. Increase the practice of serving through the mind, and through this the atmosphere will become powerful. First of all, make the atmosphere powerful at your own centre, then your own city, then your own country and then the world. The children who know how to serve through the mind remain free from any obstacles and their centre also remains free from obstacles. No soul would have the courage to become an obstacle there.

  22. When any obstacle comes and you remove it, that is also time wasted. Therefore, make the fortress so strong that no obstacles can enter it. Be loving and co-operative with one another.

  23. Burn the seeds of the sanskars of weakness in the fire of love and remembrance, and then the tree of obstacles will not grow; that is, there will not be any weaknesses in your thoughts, words or deeds.

  24. The easy method to be constantly a conqueror of obstacles for the self and for others is to bid farewell to all questions for all time, with a full stop, and to have a full stock of all the powers.

  25. Constantly wear the obstacle-proof shimmering angelic dress and not the dress of clay. Together with this, remain decorated with the ornaments of the divine virtues. With the weapon of the eight powers, constantly remain an embodiment of these. Let every step of your life be taken whilst stable in the lotus stage, and you will be called a soul who is a conqueror of obstacles.

  26. When Maya comes to you as an obstacle in the form of a lion, keep the fire of yoga lit. Even something  as fearsome as a lion cannot attack anything in front of a fire. Let the fire of yoga constantly remain lit, and Maya will not come to you in any form, and all obstacles will finish.

  27. If anything emerges in your heart, it does not matter if you tell it to someone. However, tell it in the right place, otherwise merge it again. If you tell it in the right place, then you should also remain ever-ready to follow the directions you are given by the seniors. Once you relate it, your responsibility finishes and it becomes the responsibility of the seniors. Therefore, relate it and become light. Otherwise, anything within yourself will become an obstacle again and again in service or for the self.

  28. Your memorial in the form of Ganesh, the destroyer of obstacles, is even today worshipped by everyone. So, to become a destroyer of obstacles does not mean to be a destroyer of obstacles just for the self, but for the entire world. If you remain engaged with your own self, when will you destroy the obstacles of the world? However, in order to destroy any obstacle, powers are needed. If you lack even one power, you cannot be called a destroyer of obstacles. Therefore, become complete with all powers.

  29.     By constantly seeing the Father, you will remain constantly free from obstacles. If you see a brother or sister, there will definitely be one or another type of fluctuation. Always see the Father. What did Brahma Baba do? Everyone’s sanskars should be the same as the Father’s. Learn the dance of harmonising sanskars, and all obstacles will finish. Do not have conflict of sanskars, but harmonise your sanskars. Even if someone else creates conflict, you should not allow your sanskars to come into conflict. Instead, give that soul the co-operation of your own power.

  30. The method to become a destroyer of obstacles is to remain quiet and peaceful instead of opposing anyone. Accomplish every task with peace. Do not fluctuate and do not make others fluctuate. Some children think that the way to draw someone’s attention is to create a little fluctuation. However, you should not do this. This is not drawing attention, but creating tension. Therefore, adopt the power of peace. Through this, no matter how big an obstacle may be, it will easily finish.

  31. In order to become obstacle-proof, become full with the treasure of everyone’s blessing. First of all are the blessings of the Mother and Father. Then, when coming into relationship with everyone else, you receive their blessings. The fastest means of moving forward at great speed are blessings. Those who receive blessings from everyone cannot be even slightly touched by any obstacle. They do not have to battle; their every thought, word and action automatically become yogyukt and yuktiyukt.

  32. Always keep in your awareness: “I am a destroyer of obstacles for the entire world and a world transformer”. World transformers are very powerful. In front of their power, no matter how powerful someone else may be, that one will become weak. You are one who make the obstacles weak; you yourself are not going to become weak. If you yourself become weak, then the obstacle becomes powerful; and if you are powerful, then the obstacle becomes weak. Therefore, constantly stay in the awareness of your form of a master almighty authority.

  33. If any type of obstacle comes, then maintain the awareness that it is the duty of the obstacle to come, and your duty to become a destroyer of obstacles. Since you are called a destroyer of obstacles, then you can only destroy the obstacles when they come to you. So do not ever think: “Why do the obstacles only come to me?” Obstacles have to come, and you have to become victorious.

  34. Remain seated on BapDada’s heart-throne, and you will not face any obstacle or problem. Neither will the elements attack you, nor will Maya attack you. To be seated on the heart-throne means to easily become a conqueror of matter and a conqueror of Maya.

  35. In order to attain victory over the obstacles of Maya that come whilst making effort, remember the slogan: “Baba’s treasures are my birthright”. When you consider yourself to have a right, you will not be dependent on Maya. First you have a right to the happiness of the confluence age, and then you have a right to the happiness of heaven. Do not forget your rights. When you forget your rights, you become subservient to someone or others, and those who are subservient to others can never be happy.

  36. In order to pass the tests and overcome the obstacles, increase the power of recognition. In which form is Maya coming, and why has this obstacle come in front of me? What will the results of this be? If you recognise this, you cannot fail your tests.

  37. Finish all obstacles in one second. Simply remember: “I have to do whatever I say”. We say that we are Brahma Kumars and Kumaris; we are BapDada’s obedient children, His helpers. So do in a practical way whatever you speak about, and you will become a destroyer of obstacles.

  38. To the extent that your power of yoga is balanced with the power of knowledge, accordingly you will experience success. Together with this, when you become busy in service, all obstacles finish. There cannot be any type of obstruction where there is determined faith.

  39. Within the drama, obstacles will come, but the method to finish them is always to consider them to be a test paper. It is through this test paper that you are able to recognise your stage. When any obstacle comes, consider it to be a paper and pass it. Do not see the situation, but just consider it to be a test paper. There are a variety of questions in a test paper. Sometimes of thoughts in the mind, sometimes of what people will say and their opinion, sometimes of relations and sometimes of the residents of your own land. However, you must not be afraid of any of these.

  40. Become a great donor with feelings of mercy, and you will become a destroyer of obstacles. Check to what extent you were merciful throughout the day. For how many souls did you have mercy? By giving happiness to others, you experience happiness within your own self. To give means to receive. Through this, you will become an embodiment of happiness. Then no type of obstacle will come, because you receive power by donating.

  41. In order to become a destroyer of obstacles, constantly keep the shield of “Baba, Baba” with you. With this shield you will be able to finish all obstacles and your consciousness of “I” will finish.

  42. Constantly remain stable in your form of Kali, and no form of Maya will have the courage to come in front of you. In order to remove all obstacles, constantly keep two things in front of you: on the one side, the scenes of destruction, and on the other side, the scenes of your kingdom. When you have both these scenes in your awareness, you will easily be able to overcome all obstacles.

  43. Maharathi children who remain stable in the stage of being master knowledge-full and a master almighty authority are able to remove every obstacle and stay in the stage of being totally absorbed in love on the basis of knowledge. If obstacles are not being removed, there is definitely something lacking in receiving power. It is as though you have taken knowledge, but not merged that within yourself. To merge the knowledge within yourself means to become the embodiment of it.

  44. Finish your old sanskars which obstruct you in co-operating with everyone, and your obstacles will finish. For this, even if you see anything other than the Father and the self, while seeing it do not see it. Simply see the Father and the self, and the obstacles will easily finish.

  45. Consider yourself to be combined. BapDada is your companion at every second. From the moment you took birth, BapDada has been with you. Constantly keep that Companion with you, and the obstacles will not be able to remain. The constant company should be such that no one can break this companionship, and Maya cannot create any obstacles to this love.

  46. The best method to remain safe from any type of obstacle is to become introverted, that is, to go underground. Through this, firstly you will be saved from the atmosphere; and secondly, because of being in solitude, your churning power will increase. Thirdly, you will become safe from any type of obstacle of Maya.

  47. Let the eye of the soul be clear and powerful so that you can become aware of obstacles to come before they come. When you are aware of the obstacles in advance, you become clever and thereby attain victory over them. Then you will never be defeated.

  48. In order to become victorious over any problem, obstacle or situation, your every thought and action should be yuktiyukt, filled with significance and meaningful; nothing should be wasteful. Now, do not be a yogi who is simply practising, but become a yogi in the practical form, and all obstacles will automatically finish.

  49. Continue to move along whilst considering yourself to be a master world constructor, and you will experience the trivial obstacles of Maya to be a child’s game. Just as when a small child in his innocence pulls your nose or  ears, you do not become angry or blame him because you consider the child to be innocent, in the same way, if Maya comes to you as a test paper, an obstacle or a problem through any soul, then consider that soul to be innocent. It is Maya that is showing you her games through that soul. When you have such innocent feelings, you will feel mercy and compassion for that soul. Then your speed of effort will not become slack. You will experience the stage of ascent at every second.

  50. Constantly keep yourself within the line of the code of conduct, and then Maya, Ravan, in the form of obstacles, will not have the courage to come within that line. When any obstacle, storm, distressing situation or unhappiness comes, you should understand that you have let the foot of your intellect go somewhere outside the line of the code of conduct.

  51. After eating the food of knowledge, first learn how to digest it within yourself, and then distribute it. If you simply eat it and distribute it, you will not have any power left within yourself. By simply donating something, you experience the happiness of it, but you do not receive any power. And, because of not having any power, you are not able to remain free from obstacles; you are not able to overcome the obstacles. Little obstacles disturb your deep love, and so imbibe the power to accommodate.

  52. If you constantly spin the discus of self-realisation, you will not be caught in the various types of spinning of Maya. You can protect yourself from all other types of spinning by spinning the discus of self-realisation. So constantly check to what extent you have become a spinner of the discus of self-realisation. If any of the ornaments is missing; that is, if you do not have all the powers, then you cannot attain liberation from all obstacles and weaknesses. If you wish to be liberated from obstacles, then imbibe the powers, that is, adopt all the ornaments.

  53. Constantly experience the hand of shrimat over you, and you will never be afraid of any difficult paper or Maya. With the help of that hand, you will find it easy to face anything with courage. This is why, in the images of the bhagats, the hand of blessings is shown over their head. This means that, if the hand of shrimat is constantly over your head, that is, in your intellect, then no obstacle can defeat you.

  54. To give time to battling with obstacles within your mind is to waste time on yourself. This would not be considered as something essential, but as wasteful. Brahma Baba gave his essential time in bringing benefit to others, and so follow the Father, that is, do not now use time for your own self. Constantly check if you are always using your time and thoughts for world benefit. Only then would you be called a world benefactor and a destroyer of obstacles.

  55. No obstacle can remain in front of those who are constantly absorbed in the meeting. They are the destroyers of obstacles. The meeting removes all obstacles. If any obstacle keeps coming again and again, this proves that you are not constantly celebrating a meeting.

  56. In order to overcome your obstacles, increase your power of judgement. For this, constantly keep the testing stone of BapDada’s every divine activity and task in front of you. If you check with the testing stone whatever deed you perform or thought you create as to whether it is accurate or inaccurate, whether it is wasteful or powerful, then whatever deed you perform will easily become elevated. Because you do not keep this testing stone with you, you do not become liberated from obstacles.

  57. When you constantly consider yourself to have all rights, you will not be subservient to any obstacle. You must not become dependent upon nature (matter). Whereas Baba does not depend on matter, but makes matter subservient to Him, in contrast, when you depend on your body, many obstacles come. Therefore, continue to move along with everything under your control, and not with you under its influence.

  58. When any subtle or physical obstacle of Maya comes and attacks you, then stabilise yourself in your elevated pride within one second. Through this, you will be able to shoot at the target of Maya accurately. No matter what anyone does, even if he becomes an obstacle for you or insults you, your feelings should always be those of a well-wisher.

  59. Together with belonging to Baba, constantly maintain the awareness of the vow you have made. With this awareness, your attitude will not cause any mischief. When your attitude does not cause mischief, you will not come under the influence of any obstacle in the household, situations or the elements. If any obstacle comes and you become influenced by it, it means that you have become separated from the Father. Obstacles finish your yogyukt stage. Therefore, do not become separated. Constantly keep your vow in your awareness.

  60. With the power of yoga, finish the seed of your past sanskars so that your sanskars or nature do not become an obstacle for you. If anything becomes an obstacle, learn the method to transform that situation. By transforming it, there will be strength. Then you will never be defeated by obstacles.

  61. Any obstacle that comes will definitely go away according to time. However, if you transform it before time with the power of transformation, you will attain the reward of that. Do not think that whatever has come will go away by itself, or that the karmic accounts of a particular soul will finish, or that time will automatically teach everyone. No, if I do something, I shall receive the reward of that. Therefore, become a destroyer of obstacles and remain absorbed in Baba’s love. When you have deep love, even the obstacles change their form. Obstacles will not be experienced as obstacles, but as something to make you into a unique embodiment of experience. Something major will be experienced as minor.

  62. To overcome all obstacles and pass the tests that come in life is common. However, those who are to become world emperors will have such an overflowing stock of treasures that they will be able to use everything for the world. Such souls will intensify the fire of remembrance and love, and create such an Avyakt atmosphere that all types of obstacles in all souls of the Brahmin family will easily finish.

  63. Remain merged in BapDada’s eyes in such a way that no situation or matter, that is, none of the five elements, can become an obstacle. Let your deep love take on the form of such intense fire that all the obstacles of waste thoughts, all weaknesses and remaining past sanskars are easily burnt.

  64. According to the problems and the time, make your form just as powerful. If a situation has to be faced, then imbibe the power to face. If a situation has to be tolerated, then become an embodiment of the power of tolerance. When you have such a practice, you will become victorious over all obstacles.

  65. In order to finish the obstacles that come due to the consciousness of “I” and “mine”, transform all the different types of “mine, mine” into “my one Baba”. When you have the consciousness of “I”, then remember the one word of being an instrument. By being an instrument, you will be able to remain incorporeal, egoless, humble and free from waste thoughts.

  66. No matter how fearsome a situation or how big a problem may be, remain stable in an elevated stage, and the situation will be experienced as trivial. It will not be experienced as anything big or fearsome. When standing on top of a mountain, anything big is seen to be small; even a huge factory seems so tiny. Therefore, if you look at everything whilst stable in an elevated stage, you will easily be able to overcome all obstacles.

  67. A mahavir is one who, instead of being afraid of obstacles, destroys them. For this, look at souls who insult you or cause you sorrow with a vision of mercy and with your merciful form, not with a vision of insult. If people insult you, shower them with flowers; then you will be called a charitable soul. Embrace with your heart those who insult you. Otherwise, words of defamation that cause sorrow become an obstacle. One must not cause sorrow, but must not take sorrow either.

  68. Each one now has to have the special aim: “I must not take extra effort from anyone for any obstacle or task, but must make others free from obstacles. Whilst making them into helpers, I have to become an embodiment of success and make others this also”.

Methods to keep your stage stable and constant amidst obstacles. 

  1. When someone creates obstacles as a test paper for you, do not think: Is this just in my part? Am I alone in experiencing all these obstacles?” Welcome them: Come!” Consider them to be a gift. To become an accurate idol, you need to be hammered more. It is only by being hammered that an idol is made perfect. All of you are experienced in this. It is nothing new. All these obstacles are a game.

  2. It is the duty of the obstacles to come, and your duty to attain victory over them. Since the obstacles are carrying out their duty very well, you master almighty authorities should also remain successful in attaining victory. Have the aim that you must now perform such a wonder that every centre becomes victorious, that is, becomes free from obstacles. Obstacles will come, but you must not be defeated by them. Where there is victory, obstacles cannot remain.

  3. With the awareness of all attainments, become a contented soul, and you will not be distressed by any obstacles. There will not be any conflict in relationship with anyone. Even if there is, you will not be affected by it; any type of confusion or obstacle will be experienced as a game. A problem will become a means of entertainment when you see it whilst being knowledge-full.

  4. Within the drama, obstacles of Maya come as a test paper to make you into Mahavirs. One cannot be transferred from one class to another without taking a test paper. To take a test paper means to move forward in your class. And so, when a test paper comes, you should be happy and not fluctuate.

  5. Every soul should have the elevated, pure thought to become victorious. To be free from obstacles does not mean that obstacles never come – in fact, there have been obstacles every kalpa. However, you are those who refuse to stop because of them. Always have the awareness that you are those who are to become conquerors of obstacles. How can it be difficult to repeat something that you have experienced every kalpa? You have overcome them many times, and are now simply repeating the process.

  6. No matter what situation comes up; no matter how big an obstacle, your happiness should not disappear. Obstacles have come and will go away. But why should something that belongs to you disappear? It has come and it will go away. Will something that has just come stay, or will it go away? Happiness is something that belongs to you. It is the Father’s inheritance. Therefore, whenever any obstacles come, simply think that they have come in order to go away. When a guest comes, he would not come as a guest and then go away taking everything from your home; he would pay attention to this. Therefore, obstacles will come and go away, but your happiness should not disappear.

  7. Constantly be an embodiment of awareness and, on the basis of your awareness, you will be able to maintain a powerful stage. Through this, any adverse situations will be experienced as a game. You will not be afraid in that event, because the situations are just the side-scenes on the path for you to reach your destination, that is, they are scenes on the journey. If you didn’t see any side-scenes on the road, you would get bored. For such a soul, who is an embodiment of awareness and power, the adverse situations, the test papers, the obstacles and problems are all side-scenes. Always have the awareness that you have passed the side-scenes to this destination countless times; they are nothing new.

  8. The situations have to change and will continue to change. However, children who have faith in the intellect do not change because of the situations. The praise of such children is: “Even if the world changes, they will not change”. This is because, although all the supports of faith are still there, they are to be removed. However, if the foundation of faith is strong, obstacles or adverse situations cannot make such children fluctuate even slightly.

  9. In order for you to reach the highest destination, many obstacles will definitely come on the path that you are following. In order to overcome those obstacles, you first of all need the power to recognise. You then need the power to decide. When you are able to decide whether something is Maya or accurate, whether it will cause loss or benefit, whether it will bring temporary or permanent attainment, then you will be able to have a constant stage.

  10. Brave, courageous children do not use their time in obstacles, but in service. Now, there should not be any childishness in your efforts. No matter what the situation may be, or how big an obstacle is, or what the atmosphere is like, if you refuse to become weak in those situations, then you would be called a courageous child. A courageous child cannot be affected even slightly by any obstacles.

  11. Create a memorial of Godly love and co-operation. The more loving and co-operative you are with one another, the more co-operation you will continue to receive in removing the obstacles of Maya. To give co-operation means to receive co-operation. You have to give spiritual love to the family and take co-operation to attain victory over Maya. If this account of give and take is accurate, you will be able to remain stable in front of any obstacle.

  12. When any obstacle comes, it should not last for long. To let it come and go is a sign of the form of power. If you fulfil the aim of being victorious in your thoughts, words and deeds over any problem or obstacle, you will become part of the rosary of victory.

  13. Whilst you are putting any plan into a practical form, many types of obstacles will come, so you need to be prepared in advance for these. Whatever you think is lacking, you make preparations for that in advance. In the same way, in order to finish the obstacles, make all the arrangements in advance. Create yuktis so that your time is not wasted.

  14. Whenever you start to exercise, initially there is a little pain. However, after practising over a period of time, you cannot rest without doing the exercise. Here too, when you start the drill of the intellect, you find it difficult, and your head becomes heavy because of not having had that practice. Many types of obstacles come, but after you have practised overcoming them, all obstacles automatically finish.

  15. If any situation or person becomes an instrument to create obstacles, there should be no vision of dislike or waste thoughts about that person or situation. Instead, there should just be the sound of wonder emerging for that person. If you have this vision, your vision will become elevated. No matter what someone may be like, your vision and attitude should always be filled with good wishes and feelings of benevolence. You should see benefit in every situation.

  16. When any obstacle comes, and you have to spend your time and wealth of knowledge to finish it, that is expenditure of the self. So, now save that expenditure. For this, at Amrit vela every morning, take from BapDada the blessing of being immortal. Then, throughout the day, you will not become confused by any obstacles. You will then remain immortal by being constantly cheerful, stable and powerful.

  17. It should remain in your intellect that you now have to become obstacle-proof. There should not be any obstacles even in your mind. On a battlefield, if a brave, courageous warrior is influenced by his chariot, he cannot then be victorious. In the same way, never become an obstacle by coming under the influence of body consciousness.

  18. To allow an obstacle to come and then go away in one second is also not the stage of a maharathi. Maharathis do not even allow the obstacles to come; they would not waste even one second. They would be able to catch any problem or test before it comes and keep themselves safe from it. Just as science is becoming so refined nowadays that scientists are able to predict everything in advance, and are able to adopt a means of safety before anything happens, so your effort will be said to be as refined when you do not allow any obstacles to come; that is, when you do not waste even a second in this way. For this, you have to become yogyukt and yuktiyukt.

  19. Do not come down from your stage on seeing obstacles. There should be no kind of storm in your intellect, because the storm is not a  storm (toofan), but a gift (tohfa). Those who consider the storms to be storms fluctuate, whereas those who consider them to be a gift are able to maintain their enthusiasm. They experience the stage of ascent. Their courage cannot be reduced.

  20. If you become amazed on seeing or hearing about anything, you cannot be said to have reached your final stage. “It should not be like this”. If you have this thought, even whilst knowing the drama, then that would be called a trace of fluctuation. To have the questions “Why?” or “What?” means to fluctuate. Souls who are destroyers of obstacles cannot fluctuate.

  21. Just as nature (matter) is going to the extreme to reach completion, in the same way, tests and obstacles will come in an extreme form in front of souls who are to become complete and perfect. However, only those who are constantly able to remain cheerful with the awareness of ‘nothing new’ will be able to pass. Therefore, you should not be surprised that something is not as it was in the beginning, or ask why it is like this now. There should not be this surprise. In the final paper, many amazing things will come up; only then will you be able to pass. However, it should remain fixed in your intellect that it is necessary for these obstacles to come and that they are nothing new, for only then will you be able to remain constantly cheerful.

  22. When any obstacles come, you have special yoga, which proves that the obstacles are only an enemy to make you aware of your weapons. However, so that no enemy or problem comes in front of you, you should naturally and constantly be an embodiment of awareness. To change something from a crucifix to a thorn is not the final stage. The final stage is to finish the thorn from a distance with the fire of yoga.

  23. Constantly perform every action whilst set in the position of a master almighty authority, and this position will take you beyond all obstacles of Maya and make you free from obstacles. In a lokik sense also, when someone has authority, no one has the courage to oppose him.

  24. For obstacles to come is fixed within the drama from beginning to end. These obstacles give you the experience of the impossible becoming possible. You have experienced this, which is why all obstacles seem just a game. Just as when playing football, you kick the ball when it comes to you, in the same way, this is also a game of football. You enjoy playing games, do you not? You try to make the ball come to you so that you can kick it. These games will also continue, for they are nothing new. The drama shows you many games and also shows you perfect success. This is the custom and system of the Brahmin clan.
